Wendy Shifflet is a therapist and the owner of Medicine Creek Counseling.
She is a native Nebraska girl, born and raised in Western Nebraska. She and her husband, Tyler, have resided in Cambridge, Nebraska since 2012. Wendy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Chadron State College in 2001 and her Master of Social Work degree from Walden University in 2018.
She has over 21 years of experience in the human services/social work realm with 12 years in medical social work. Her hobbies include being outside in nature, practicing yoga and mindfulness, weight training, learning, and traveling.
Sarah Sweeterman is a therapist at Medicine Creek Counseling.
She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Florida State University. Sarah specializes in working with adolescents, young people, and adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss, life transitions, substance use, and relationship issues. Her approach is rooted in a harm reduction and person-centered approach and draws from modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing.
Sarah’s unique approach to therapy emphasizes the importance of connecting with self. She believes self-awareness is key to supporting change, so time is spent exploring patterns in thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Sarah is committed to ensuring every client feels safe, supported and like an equal partner in the therapeutic process.
Hallie Conroy is a therapist at Medicine Creek Counseling's Cozad location.
She is a Provisionally Licensed Clinical Social Worker that earned her Bachelor's and Master’s Degree in Social Work from Northern Arizona University. Hallie is a Nebraska native and has a passion for bringing mental services to rural Nebraskans. She has worked with a wide range of client demographics from young children to individuals in their final stages of life. She shows special interest in trauma-informed therapy with children focusing on healthy attachments and child development-centered approaches. As a provisionally licensed clinician, Hallie is aware that her interests and client demographic may shift with her growing experience, therefore, she will be accepting clients of all ages.
